The 19th-round fixture saw Solomon-Otabor, formerly of CSKA Sofia, find the net in the first period of the game, Footballrover reports.

His goal helped his side, the Cangzhou Mighty Lions, seal off a 1-1 draw against Wuhan Three Towns.

Both goals came in the first half, and there was nothing to separate both sides in the second period of the game.

His 12th-minute strike put Cangzhou ahead against Wuhan Three Towns, but the joy was short-lived as Guinea-Bissau’s Romario Balde equalised for the visitors before halftime.

Despite a valiant effort from the 28-year-old Nigerian and his compatriot Ayo Obileye in defence, Cangzhou couldn’t find a winner.

The visitors dominated possession (64% to 36%) and shots (7 to 4), with two on target compared to Cangzhou’s solitary effort on goal.

The struggle continues for Viv Solomon and his teammates as the 1-1 draw extends Cangzhou’s winless streak to a staggering fourteen matches, leaving them languishing in 13th place out of 16 teams in the league.

While Solomon-Otabor continues to impress individually, his team desperately seeks a turnaround in fortunes.
