Victor Osimhen officially became the highest-scoring African player of all time in the history of Italian Serie A with his 22nd league goal of the season.
The 24-year-old forward has scored more Serie A goals in 2022–23 than any African player has ever managed in an Italian top-flight campaign.
Samuel Eto’s record has been broken.
Super Eagles prospect and Udinese right back, Kingsley Ehizibue, limped off the field of play in the 82nd minute of the second half after sustaining a groin injury and was substituted by Festy Ebosele.
Napoli’s 1-1 away draw with Udinese ensured they won the Italian League with 80 points after 33 rounds of matches.
Udinese is currently 12th on the table with 43 points after 32 matches.
