Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has silenced his doubters once again with his 13th Serie A goal of the season during their league game on Sunday.
Despite his stellar performance, Napoli couldn’t clinch a home victory, settling for a 2-2 draw against Frosinone, the defending champions facing an unexpected setback, Footballrover reports.
The thrilling showdown of matchday 32 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, saw Osimhen make headline once again as he fired over six shots, securing Napoli’s second goal and momentarily putting them ahead 2-1 against Frosinone.
The game kicked off on a high note for Napoli, with Matteo Politano igniting the home crowd’s excitement with an early lead just 16 minutes into the match.
However, Frosinone’s Walid Cheddira quickly leveled the score five minutes into the second half, before Osimhen’s well-timed goal in the 63rd minute rekindled Napoli’s hope of victory.
With a swift touch in the 18-yard box, the 25-year-old Nigerian forward displayed his knack for crucial goals, momentarily restoring Napoli’s lead.

Yet, Cheddira’s second goal dashed Napoli’s hopes of clinching the win, ultimately resulting in a 2-2 draw.
Osimhen’s remarkable form continues to show this season as he boosts over 15 goals and 3 assists across all competitions this season.
His recent goal-scoring streak follows Napoli’s 4-2 victory over Monza in the previous league encounter, where he also hit the net.
Despite the draw, Napoli remains in 8th place with 49 points, while Frosinone continues to battle relegation, occupying the 18th spot with 27 points.
The Nigerian international and his teammates will now set their sights on a crucial away fixture against Empoli, aiming to rebound and secure a much-needed victory on Saturday.
