Victor Osimhen delivered a stunning performance in a high-stakes Istanbul derby, but despite his heroics, Galatasaray could only manage a 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa.

The Nigerian forward found the net twice, yet Okan Buruk’s side fell short of securing maximum points, Footballrover reports.

After the match, Osimhen admitted feeling frustrated, acknowledging the fierce competition in the Turkish Super Lig.

Despite the disappointment, Osimhen expressed pride in his teammates’ efforts.

“I would say disappointment. That’s the best way to put it. We fought against an effective opponent. I’m proud of my teammates for their efforts,” he told the club’s official website.

Acknowledging the intense nature of the league, the 26-year-old stressed the need for consistency.

“Football is like that sometimes. This is a really tough league. You have to fight well from the first minute to the last. You can be punished very quickly,” he added.

Galatasaray’s title hopes still alive

Victor Osimhen remains optimistic about Galatasaray’s title chase, vowing that the team will keep pushing forward.

He emphasised the squad’s unity, praising both the starters and bench players for their shared determination.
