Thomas Tuchel Chelsea are back to winning ways after they dismantled Southampton with Timo Werner and Mason Mount both grabbing a brace in the game.

The Blues bounced back from back-to-back home losses to Brentford and Real Madrid with a 6-0 thrashing of Southampton during their Premier League game at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

In the first half, Chelsea completely outplayed their opponents, scoring four goals in just over half an hour.

Alonso scored the game’s first goal, but their front three of Mount, Werner, and Havertz were all on fire, each scoring a goal.

After an end-to-end start, Alonso gave Chelsea the lead after 8 minutes. After Mount picked him out in the box, the Spaniard blasted a left-footed shot into the lower right corner.

The Blues didn’t let their opponents get comfortable, and Mason Mount doubled the lead eight minutes later.

Mount used a daisycutter from range to find the net. The Englishman controlled the ball with a touch and sent it sliding into the bottom left corner.

At the St Mary’s Stadium, Chelsea were playing as if they had something to prove, and Ward-Prowse’s misplaced header put the Saints in trouble after 21 minutes.

Werner runs in behind Forster, takes him wide, and scores into an empty net to make it 3-0.

Before Kai Havertz put the visitors up 4-0. The Blues continued their strong play in the second half, making it 5-0 barely four minutes in.

Timo Werner scores his second goal of the game after Forster saves N’Golo Kante’s effort from the middle of the area.

Five minutes later, Pulisic blasted Alonso’s fizzed cross straight at Forster. However, he was unable to fully save it, and it appears before Mount, who slides it into place.
