In Venezuela, 18-year-old Nigerian forward Shola Oduoye stole the show with a late, dramatic goal, lifting his team, Caracas, to a thrilling 2-1 victory over Zamora in their league clash on Wednesday.
Coming off the bench as a super substitute, Shola Oduoye made his mark with a stunning header, scoring his first professional goal and securing the match-winner, Footballrover reports.
The goal was set up perfectly by a brilliant free kick from Miguel Vegas.
The game had been a tense affair, with both teams locked in a scoreless deadlock by halftime.

The second half began with the same intensity, but it was Shola’s introduction after the break, replacing Edwuin Alexander Pernia Martinez, that turned the tide.
It wasn’t until the 76th minute that the home team finally broke the deadlock. Caracas was awarded a penalty, and Rubert Quijada calmly slotted it home to give his team the lead.
As the clock ticked down, just five minutes before stoppage time, Caracas earned a free kick near the opponent’s box.
Vegas delivered a pinpoint cross, and Shola rose above the defense, powering his header into the bottom corner of the net, sealing the victory for his team.
This hard-fought win was just what Caracas needed, as Shola Oduoye and his teammates bounced back from a recent defeat and draw.
