Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze delivered a stellar man-of-the-match performance to inspire AC Milan’s dominant victory over Sassuolo in their Coppa Italia clash on Tuesday evening.
The Nigerian winger scored a quick-fire brace as Milan thrashed Sassuolo 6-1 in the Round of 16 encounter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Footballrover reports.
The visiting side didn’t know what hit them as Chukwueze opened the scoring for Milan before adding his second—a stunning third goal for the hosts—within just nine minutes.
The Super Eagles winger fired his team ahead barely 12 minutes into the game after Tijjani Reijnders delivered a long ball that sent him through on goal.

Chukwueze’s initial attempt beat Sassuolo goalkeeper Marco Sportiello but struck the woodwork. The rebound fell kindly to him, and he made no mistake with the follow-up.
The 25-year-old doubled his tally with another well-timed run down the flank, this time receiving a pass from Tammy Abraham. Chukwueze’s clinical finish found the bottom right corner.
In between Chukwueze’s goals, Reijnders got his name on the scoresheet, and Rafael Leao added the fourth in the 23rd minute.
Davide Calabria and Abraham later joined the scorers, capping off a dominant performance at the San Siro.
