Super Falcons forward Rinsola Babajide is ready to light up Italian football after sealing her move to AS Roma Women on a two-year deal.

The Nigerian forward, known for her speed and flair, promises to bring silverware and joy to fans in Rome, Footballrover reports.

Roma confirmed the arrival of Babajide through their social media pages.

The 26-year-old forward joined the Italian Serie A Femminile side on a free transfer after leaving Spanish club UD Tenerife in May.
Babajide bagged 10 goals and 5 assists in 26 league games in her final season with Tenerife and will now wear jersey number 30 for the Galliorosi.
Her move boosts the number of Nigerian players at AS Roma, joining defender Shukurat Oladipo in the squad.

Speaking about her switch, Babajide said,
“It’s an honour, to be honest. It’s a Champions League club, a prestigious club as well. So I’m very happy to be here.”
For Babajide, this is her first adventure in Italy after spells in England and Spain. Sharing her thoughts on Italian football, she said,

“I think it’s similar to the Spanish league; everyone is technical, and it’s a competitive league as well. Can’t wait to get started.”
The Super Falcons star has her eyes firmly on the prize.
“I feel like being in Rome alone is just precious. It’s an amazing experience, even with the team, gelling well with the girls, securing a Champions League spot, trying to get as much silverware as possible, and winning the league and cup games.”
Babajide describes herself as, “an over-direct, speedy, technical player. I love to beat my players 1v1 as well as cross the ball in and get shots on goal.”
Her main goal is clear: trophies. “Well, silverware… I feel like that’s the most important thing, and for the team as well, to win as many trophies as possible. contribute towards the team and do better than I did last season.”
