Chidera Nwoga has finally opened his goal account for the season following his move to Lithuanian A Lyga side FA Siauliai, delivering a late strike to rescue his team from a potential defeat.
Nwoga didn’t just find the back of the net — he also won the Man of the Match award as Siauliai came from behind to secure a 1–1 away draw against FC Hegelmann, Footballrover reports.

It is still early in the season, but the visitors started the game on the wrong foot after conceding a penalty right at the stroke of halftime.
Vilius Armanavicius stepped up and calmly converted from the spot to give the hosts the lead, sending FC Hegelmann into the break with a narrow advantage.
Nwoga’s first goal for FA Siauliai earns crucial point
The second half produced a tight contest as both sides battled for control.
Just when the home fans believed victory was within reach, Chidera Nwoga struck three minutes from regulation time to rescue a valuable point for the visitors.
Before the dramatic equalizer, Siauliai had been forced to play with ten men after Nojus Stankevicius received a straight red card in the 68th minute.
Four matches into the season, Nwoga and his teammates are still searching for their first victory after recording one loss and three draws so far.
