Rafiu Durosinmi continued his stellar form in the Czech First League on Saturday, netting a crucial goal to power Viktoria Plzen’s comeback victory over Dukla Praha in a six-goal thriller at the Doosan Arena.

The Nigerian forward scored his team’s second goal in a dominant 4-2 win that saw Plzen overturn an early deficit in style, Footballrover reports.

Durosinmi had a massive impact in the game as he notched his fifth league goal of the season in 11 appearances for the team.

The 22-year-old now boasts 12 goal contributions this season—five goals in the Czech First League, one in the Czech Cup, plus two assists each in both the Europa League and Czech Liga.

The match started on a shaky note for Viktoria Plzen, with Dukla Praha’s Martin Ambler opening the scoring in just the 4th minute.

However, Plzen responded quickly through Cadu, who found the equaliser in the 10th minute with help from Pavel Šulc.

Then came the moment of brilliance from Rafiu Durosinmi. In the 32nd minute, the Nigerian forward latched onto a fine pass from Lukáš Kalvach and slotted home to give Plzen the lead.

His intelligent positioning and sharp finish marked a turning point in the encounter.

Durosinmi was substituted in the 68th minute for Prince Adu, but by then, he had already left a major stamp on the match.

Šulc remained important, assisting Kalvach in the 73rd minute for the third goal before substitute Matěj Vydra made it 4-1 in the 82nd.

Dukla managed to pull one back through Jhon Mosquera in the 89th minute, but Plzen’s dominance had long secured the win.

This Viktoria Plzen comeback victory extended their unbeaten run to five league games, with Rafiu Durosinmi scoring three times during that stretch.

The win sealed their second-place finish in the Czech First League with 65 points, while Dukla Praha ended the campaign in 14th with just 24 points.

With momentum on their side and Rafiu Durosinmi in fine form, Plzen will now turn their attention to a Czech Cup showdown against Sparta Prague on Wednesday—a match where the Nigerian star could once again be the difference-maker.
