His goal—his first of the season—came after a spell of industrious performances, with two assists already to his name across 14 appearances in all competitions.
Sor was substituted in the 64th minute after another lively display.
The seven-goal thriller kept fans at the Braga Municipal Stadium on edge, with both sides trading blows from the first whistle.
Genk’s attacking energy, led by Sor’s pace and movement, proved too sharp for Braga’s back line.
“Good team performance, amazing atmosphere. Thanks to our fans. Missed this feeling.” — Sor said after the game
Despite the win, Genk sit 13th in the Europa League league-phase standings with seven points, while Braga remain fifth with nine.
The victory offers a much-needed boost for the Belgian side after a mixed start to their European campaign.
Elsewhere, Rafiu Durosinmi featured for Viktoria Plzen in their goalless draw against Fenerbahce, while Zaidu Sanusi put in a solid 90-minute shift as Porto earned a 1–1 draw away to FC Utrecht.
Christantus Uche features in Crystal Palace’s Conference League win

The Nigerian came on as a late substitute for Jean-Philippe Mateta in the 86th minute as the Eagles sealed their second win in three matches.
Maxence Lacroix opened the scoring with a crisp half-volley in the 22nd minute, before Ismaila Sarr doubled Palace’s advantage just before half-time.
After AZ pulled one back through Sven Mijnans, Sarr struck again in the 57th minute to seal a comfortable victory for Oliver Glasner’s side. The result lifts Palace to ninth in the early Conference League standings.
With more Europa League nights ahead, Yira Sor and his Genk teammates will be hoping to finish stronger in their campaign.
