Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi once again showed his sharp instincts in front of goal, but Viktoria Plzen could not overturn their deficit as Rangers advanced in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.

The forward’s strike lit up the Doosan Arena, yet the Scottish side still escaped with the aggregate win, Footballrover reports.
Rafiu Durosinmi Strikes but Rangers Hold Their Ground
Durosinmi opened the scoring in the 44th minute, slotting home from an Amar Memić assist to ignite hope among the home fans.
It was his second goal in four matches during the qualifiers, further proof of his rising form.

However, despite Plzen’s 2-1 victory on the night, the Czech club bowed out 4-2 on aggregate after Rangers’ commanding 3-0 first-leg win at Ibrox.
Nigeria international Cyriel Dessers played 54 minutes for the visitors before making way.
Lyall Cameron equalised for the Scottish side in the 60th minute, but Svetozar Marković’s late strike restored Plzen’s lead.
Still, it wasn’t enough to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
Transfer Buzz Surrounding the Nigerian Forward
Linked with a potential move to Serie A side Lazio, Durosinmi has been in fine form this season, scoring three times in seven appearances across all competitions.

His performances in last season’s UEFA Europa League also caught the attention of scouts.
With the summer transfer window closing in days, the in-form striker will be eager to maintain his scoring touch — whether with Plzen or at a new club.
The Gers will now face Raphael Onyedika’s Club Brugge in the playoff round, while Plzen turn their focus to domestic challenges.
