Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has issued a rallying cry to his players, urging them to step up and show Arsenal what they’re made of in their upcoming Premier League game.
With star player Cole Palmer likely to miss the match due to illness, Pochettino wants his team to prove they’re not a one-man band, Footballrover reports.
“If I were them, I would be motivated to go there tomorrow and show that this is Chelsea Football Club, not Cole Palmer Football Club,” Pochettino said.
The Blues’ head coach sees this as a good challenge for his squad to rise to, and he’s eager to see how they respond.
Palmer’s absence would be a significant blow, given his impressive form this season.

The 21-year-old has scored second consecutive hat-tricks at Stamford Bridge, including a four-goal haul against Everton in their last Premier League outing.
He’s currently competing for the Premier League Golden Boot, but his illness has put his participation in the Arsenal game in doubt.
Pochettino’s call to action is clear: it’s time for the rest of the squad to step up and show what they’re capable of.
“We will see. We will see,” said Pochettino.
Can they rise to the challenge and prove themselves against a tough Arsenal side? Only time will tell.
