Philip Azango shines with second assist for Spartak Trnava
Azango’s goal contribution came in the 18th minute, setting up Michal Ďuriš for his second goal of the match.
This assist marked Azango’s second of the season, following his first in a 2-2 draw against Ruzomberok earlier in September.
The 27-year-old winger’s contribution was crucial in Spartak Trnava’s convincing win, as they dominated the match from start to finish.
While Azango’s assist was vital, it was Ďuriš who stole the limelight with a sensational first-half hat trick.
The visitors opened the scoring early with Ďuriš converting a pass from Kelvin Ofori in the 9th minute.
Just nine minutes later, Azango set up Ďuriš once again, and the striker completed his hat trick in the 37th minute, assisted by Ofori.
Azango and Spartak Trnava maintain winning streak
Spartak Trnava extended their lead in the second half with an own goal from Dukla Banska Bystrica’s Boris Godál in the 53rd minute.
Despite a consolation goal from Martin Rymarenko in the 65th minute, the hosts never threatened a comeback.
This victory marked Spartak Trnava’s fourth consecutive win, taking them to third place in the league with 39 points, just five behind table-toppers Slovan Bratislava.
As they look ahead to their next fixture against DAC 1904 Dunajska Streda, Azango and his teammates will aim to keep the momentum going.
With his consistent performances, Philip Azango continues to prove his worth as one of the key figures in Spartak Trnava’s Super Liga charge.
