Fresh off her clean-sheet performance that propelled Paris FC to a crucial win over Guingamp, Super Falcons goalkeeper Nnadozie Chiamaka has once again proven her mettle for the French Division 1 Féminine side.
Chiamaka’s stellar performance on Wednesday helped Paris FC clinch a spot in the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stages, Footballrover reports
Her impeccable goalkeeping, coupled with goals from Julie Dufour and Louise Fleury, sealed a decisive 2-0 away victory over German powerhouse Wolfsburg.
The UEFA Women’s Champions League second round, Leg 2 of 2, witnessed Chiamaka and her teammates dismantle Wolfsburg with a 5-3 aggregate score, securing their place in the tournament’s group stages.
Both teams entered the match with a 3-3 aggregate scoreline from the first leg held at the Stade Charlety last Tuesday.
Following a tight opening, Julie Dufour broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, giving the visitors the lead at the AOK Stadium.
This came after her teammate, Gaetane Thiney, missed a penalty opportunity just 12 minutes into the game.
Wolfsburg had a chance to equalize in the 60th minute with a penalty, but Dominique Janssen’s spot-kick went astray as the Nigetian goalie dived fhe right way to save the penalty.
As the clock ticked towards the final whistle, Louise Fleury doubled Paris FC’s lead, sealing their victory.
After the match, the Super Falcons star took to her social media page to express her delight over her third clean sheet of the season and the momentous win.
“Third clean sheet, Champions League group stage history makers. I give God all the glory,” she wrote.
