Nigerian players abroad dominated most of the leagues in the world over the weekend with Stanley Ogoh, Paul Ejeh, and Nnamdi Ofoborh each netting twice to headline a flurry of goals and decisive moments across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
From Tunisia to Finland, England to China, Nigerians stamped their authority with sharp finishes, clutch strikes, and game-changing assists, Footballrover reports.
Brace Masters: Nigerian Players Abroad on Fire
In Tunisia, Stanley Ogoh was the star of the show, grabbing a brace to lead Zarzis to an emphatic 4–1 away win over JS Kairouan.
In Finland’s Ykkönen, Paul Ejeh struck twice in the first half to power Atlantis to a commanding 3–0 home victory over PKKU.
In England’s League Two, Nnamdi Ofoborh was unstoppable for Barnet, scoring a superb brace in their comfortable triumph against Grimsby Town.
Goals, Assists & Clutch Performances
In England’s League Two, Daniel Udoh provided two key assists in Salford City’s thrilling 3–2 win over Swindon Town, taking his tally to four assists and two goals in just three games.
In Belgium, Victory Beniangba supplied the crucial assist as Jong Genk claimed a 2–1 away win at Lommel SK.
In France’s Ligue 2, Elijah Odede came off the bench in the 77th minute and delivered an assist within three minutes, helping Troyes seal a dominant 5–2 victory over Guingamp.
In Turkey’s 1. Lig, Funsho Bamgboye struck early in the 7th minute, though Hatayspor were eventually held to a 2–2 home draw with Boluspor.
In Lithuania, Miko Dalha came off the bench to score in Babrungas’ 3–0 win over Atmosfera, while Daniel Ilevbare struck a dramatic 90+2’ winner for Neptūnas in their 1–0 win over Nevezis.
Also in Lithuania, Chidera Nwoga wasted no time, scoring inside the 1st minute as FK Transinvest swept aside BFA Vilnius 3–0.
In Hungary’s NB I, Meshack Ubochioma opened the scoring in Kolor City KBSC’s 2–0 win over Ujpest, while Bright Edomwonyi rescued Spartacus FC with a late 86th-minute equaliser in a 1–1 draw with Paksi.
In the Czech Republic, Abdullahi Tanko equalised in the 66th minute as Pardubice earned a 1–1 draw against Slovacko.
In Kazakhstan, Geoffrey Chinedu Charles scored on the stroke of halftime to inspire Astana’s thrilling 3–2 away win over Tobol.
In China’s Jia League, Prince Lucky Ukachukwu netted the decisive goal in Yanbian Longding’s 1–0 away win over Shaanxi Union.
In Vietnam, Samson Kayode Olaleye struck in the 87th minute to earn PVF Cand a dramatic 2–2 home draw with Da Nang.
In Turkey’s 1. Lig, Francis Ezeh finally ended Keçiörengücü’s five-game winless run, scoring the opener in a much-needed 2–1 win over Bodrum FK.
More Nigerian players abroad also delivered goals an assist
In Iraq, Austin Amutu struck in the 34th minute and Kingsley Kuku bagged a brace as Al Gharraf eased to a 3–1 home win over Al Kharabaa in the Star League.
Prosper Obah was the difference-maker in Ukraine, netting the lone goal that earned FC LNZ a 1–0 win at home to Rukh Lviv.
Over in Armenia, Olawale Farayola put in a fine shift, lasting 87 minutes and setting up a goal in Alashkert’s 2–0 victory against Gandzasar.
In Malta, Franklin Sasere stole the show with a brilliant double in Birkirkara’s 2–0 triumph over Mosta.
Meanwhile, Saliman Kayode grabbed an assist but couldn’t prevent FK Javor from falling 2–1 away to Mladost in the Serbia SuperLiga.
In Turkey, Uchenna Ogundu struck in the 51st minute to rescue a point for Alanyaspor in a 1–1 draw at Basaksehir FK.
Over in Kosovo, Samuel Opeh’s late strike on 80 minutes wasn’t enough to save FC Malisheva, who lost 3–1 at home to Prishtina.
The Norwegian Eliteserien had plenty of Nigerian flavor too: Mustapha Isah opened the scoring in the 37th minute and Wilfred George played all 90 minutes, assisting one and influencing another, as Kristiansund BK beat Haugesund 2–0.
And in Portugal’s Liga 3, Adeniyi Lawrence was on fire, scoring twice as Amarante downed Santerem 2–0.
From Ogoh’s double in Tunisia to Ofoborh’s brace in England and Ejeh’s heroics in Finland, Nigerian players abroad once again delivered decisive performances across multiple leagues.
