Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has continued from where left, netting his third goal of the season for Nantes on Sunday. Despite his efforts, Nantes faced a substantial 3-1 defeat against Metz at Stade Saint-Symphorien.

However, Moses Simon swiftly responded, leveling the score nine minutes later. A precise cross from Nicolas Pallaois set up Simon’s powerful strike from the edge of the six-yard box.
The goal review process involving VAR caused a brief pause, ensuring fairness, but referee Florent Batta ultimately gave the green light.
The Nigerian sensation, Simon celebrated the goal, paying tribute to his former teammate.
But then, the tide turned as Albie Jallow’s through-ball set up Simon Elisor, who confidently extended Metz’s lead to 2-1.

Despite Simon’s remarkable seven goals contribution this season with three goals and four assists to his name, the defeat places Nantes in the 8th position in the Ligue 1 table.

Moses Simon and his teammates, will now prepare for their next fixture at the Stade de la Beaujoire – Louis Fonteneau, where they will play host to Le Havre on Sunday.
