After the Gunners secured their biggest-ever victory over Chelsea to increase their chances of winning the Premier League title, Mikel Arteta showered the Chelsea coach with what could appear to be mocking adulation.
The Arsenal manager extended a sympathetic gesture to Chelsea’s Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday night after the Gunners’ 5-0 thrashing of their London rivals, Footballrover reports.
This historic win propels Arsenal to the summit of the Premier League table, though both Manchester City and Liverpool remain formidable contenders.

Despite the one-sided result, Arteta expressed empathy for his colleague Mauricio Pochettino, acknowledging the challenges faced by the Chelsea boss.
While Pochettino’s side suffered a crushing defeat, Arteta expressed admiration for his counterpart’s efforts, stating,
“All the sympathy in the world goes to everything that Mauricio Pochettino has been through and is doing. He’s doing a good job. They deserved to win all their last seven matches.”
Arteta, who shares a friendly rapport with Pochettino, acknowledged the challenges the Chelsea manager faces and expressed his desire for Pochettino to succeed.
Arteta remains optimistic that Pochettino will overcome the current setbacks, anticipating a turnaround for his esteemed counterpart so he can get what he deserves.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will aim to bounce back from their back-to-back defeats against Manchester City and the Gunners when they visit Aston Villa on Saturday.
