Super Falcons forward, Michelle Alozie, delivered an impressive performance for Houston Dash on Sunday, securing a brace and crucial victory for her team over Gotham FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
Thanks to the 26-year-old’s outstanding display, Houston Dash achieved a 2-0 win on the road at the Red Bull Arena.
Michelle Alozie, who has consistently excelled this season, continued to impress by scoring two fantastic goals, ensuring her team’s triumph and the seal all three points against their hosts.
In the first half, Alozie broke the deadlock during stoppage time, taking advantage of a brilliant assist from Nichelle Prince. She confidently found the back of the net, handing Houston Dash the lead.

This time, she displayed her skills with a remarkable strike after a clearance by forward María Sanchez.
Alozie cleverly placed the ball past Gotham FC’s goalkeeper, Amanda Haught, who was caught off her line.

Alozie’s incredible contributions have been a huge one for Houston Dash’s season, bolstering the team’s points tally as the victory propelled them to seventh place in the NWSL standings, accumulating 26 points.
The team still has a chance to secure a top-six finish, ensuring a spot in the Final series playoffs.
Currently, they are only four points behind their hosts in third place, while still chasing the league leaders – San Diego Wave, who are seven points clear.
The Nigerian international has now contributed five goals to the NWSL side this season, with four goals and one assist in 15 matches.
