In a recent Spanish Liga F match, Super Falcons star Toni Payne scored a consolation goal, but it wasn’t enough to save her team Sevilla in their big defeat at home to Madrid CFF. 
Unfortunately, all efforts from the 28-year-old midfielder proved insufficient to salvage her team from a significant defeat against Madrid CFF.
During their Sunday showdown, Sevilla succumbed to a 1-5 loss against the formidable Madrid CFF in the Primera División.
While Payne will be celebrating her first goal of the season, her shot on target was not enough to prevent the crushing defeat.
The standout performer of the match was her African counterpart, Racheal Kundananji, who stole the limelight with an impressive hat-trick.
The atmosphere of game changed when Madrid CFF took an early lead at the Ramón Cisneros Palacios stadium.
Zambian forward Racheal Kundananji delivered a remarkable performance, securing her hat-trick within just 37 minutes, providing Madrid CFF with a commanding lead.
In addition, Karen Araya contributed a goal in the 29th minute, and Itziar Pinillos, a 23-year-old defender, found the back of the net in the 61st minute, sealing the victory for Madrid CFF.
Toni Payne managed to score a consolation goal for Sevilla just three minutes after halftime. However, by that point, the damage had already been done.
Sevilla now finds themselves without a single point, having lost their first two games of the season to Levante and Madrid CFF.
Their next challenge awaits in midweek, as they face Granadilla Tenerife in front of their home fans, in hopes of securing their first point and victory of the season.
