Super Falcons hopeful scored the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th goals for Fortuna Hjorring, all in the second half, as they completely crushed their hosts at Nature Energy Park.

This fantastic hat-trick against Odense has now boosted her season tally to 22 goals, along with four assists, in 23 games as Fortuna Hjorring is set to wrap up their regular season.

The scoring for Fortuna Hjorring began early, with Anastasia Pobegaylo finding the net just 16 minutes into the game.

Although Odense’s Ajla Habibovic managed to equalise shortly after Omewa received a yellow card in the 35th minute, the match quickly turned into a Fortuna Hjorring show.

The former Nigerian youth international quickly redeemed herself after halftime. She scored right after the break in the 46th minute to regain the lead for Fortuna.

Omewa then went on a scoring spree, completing her sensational hat-trick by netting her second goal in the 62nd minute and adding a third just six minutes later in the 68th!

Fortuna dominates after Omewa’s hat-trick

The goals kept coming for Fortuna Hjorring.

Ashley Riefner joined the scoring party with a goal in the 78th minute, and Risako Watanabe sealed the emphatic victory with Fortuna’s sixth goal in the 87th minute.

This was a truly commanding win for Fortuna Hjorring, who showed their strength even though they had already been crowned champions, finishing 13 points ahead of second-placed Nordsjaelland.

This victory marked Fortuna Hjorring’s third consecutive win, a welcome turnaround after a recent shaky period that saw them suffer two straight defeats and a draw.

Joy Omewa and her teammates will now play their final game of the campaign at home against Nordsjaelland Women next Saturday.
