Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew was on fire at Leeds United’s home ground, Elland Road, as Crystal Palace routed the hosts 5-1 in match 30 of the English Premier League.
Jordan Ayew, who replaced injured Wilfried Zaha in Crystal Palace’s attacking formation, scored a brace for his team’s second and fifth goals of the match, while Nigerian-eligible Michael Olise assisted in the scoring of Crystal Palace’s second, third, and fourth goals.
Patrick Bamford scored the opener for the hosts in the 21st minute of the first half, while Marc Guehi drew Crystal Palace level at 1-1 in one minute of first-half extra time.
Jordan Ayew made it 1-2 for Crystal Palace with a header in the 53rd minute of the second half.
Another Nigerian eligible, Eberechi Eze, scored Crystal Palace’s third goal in the 55th minute of the second half after a perfect combination with Michael Olise.
Michael Olise again assisted Odsonne Edouard to score the fourth goal for Crystal Palace in the 69th minute of the second half.
Jordan Ayew made it 5-1 for the visitors in the 77th minute of the second half of the match.

With the 5-1 away victory, Crystal Palace are now 12th in the English Premier League table with 33 points after 30 matches, while Leeds United are 16th with 29 points after 30 matches.
