Levante needed the full-time whistle to end their agony after being mercilessly relegated by Real Madrid during their La Liga match on Thursday night.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side scored six goals against rock-bottom Levante at the Bernabeu, and guess who was at the heart of their spectacular performance? Luka Modric!!

Real Madrid cruised to an easy victory against their opponents thanks to a hat-trick of assists, five important passes, and three major chances from the 36-year-old Croatian maestro.

Real Madrid, already crowned League champions, hosted 20th-placed Levante as they prepare for the highly anticipated UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool at the end of May.

The teams marched out, with Levante providing a guard of honour for Real Madrid, as the top and bottom La Liga sides set for the encounter.

It took Modric merely 13 minutes into the game to grab his first assist after setting up Mendy to score the game’s first goal.

Six minutes later, Benzema made it 2-0 before Modric picked up his second assist of the game, sliding a pass through the eye of a needle, enabling Rodrygo score the simplest of finishing for their third goal.

Modric completed his hat-trick of assists with a beautiful pass to play Vinicius in, but the winger still had a lot to do and executed the goal brilliantly to beat Cardenas once more.

The highlight of the Croatian’s brilliance came when he set up Benzema for his assist of the game after the French striker found Vincius Jnior, who scored with a simple tap-in to make it 5-0.

The midfielder almost capped his stunning performance with a goal but his effort hit the cross bar after a slight touch from Levante goalkeeper.

While Levante’s negative head-to-head record against 17th-placed Cadiz ensures they are demoted with two games remaining.
