Bendel Insurance forward – Imade Oserenkhoe, praised his teammates’ efforts after they defeated Plateau United in the NPFL match on Thursday by snatching a late victory.

The newcomers won their second league game of the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League season, continuing their strong start to the campaign.

Sarki Ismael and Imade Oserenkhoe once again scored to hand the Benin Arsenal their second win of the season, their first at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium after 14 years.

The 22-year-old forward scored the game-winning goal late into the clash to give his team a 2-1 victory over the previous season’s runners-up – Plateau United.

Imade, a staunch Arsenal supporter, and his Insurance teammates had to put in a lot of effort before grabbing a late winner against the former champions in Benin City.

Just 53 minutes on the clock, Sarki Ismael scored a header to give the home team the lead after the first half ended in a barren draw.

Mustapha Abdullahi scored the visitors’ equalizer from the spot with one minute remaining in the game.

However, Imade Oserenkhoe was able to head in Julius Emiloju’s free kick late in stoppage time to give the hosts the victory.

The forward, who has now scored twice in as many games for the Benin Boys, expressed gratitude to God for the decisive goal as well as his team’s mentality, which helped them earn all three points.
