Frank Lampard on Tuesday night suffered his first Premier League defeat as Everton’s new Boss, Newcastle secured a 3-1 victory.
Newcastle hammered their fellow Premier League relegation rivals Everton at St James’ Park thanks to goals from Ryan Fraser and Kieran Trippier in the second half.
In a contest highlighted by big-buy debuts and flashes of class, Eddie Howe’s men take the win on home ground, and it’s the Magpies who cracked open the Toffees in the end.
The scoreline was Newcastle 3-1 Everton at the end of the game.
Frank Lampard thrashed Brentford the last time they met, and now he’s on the receiving end of a harsh defeat.
It’s not entirely his fault – the Toffees’ rhythm was severely disrupted by those early injuries – but the issue at hand continues to demand his focus.
The full-time scream echoed throughout St James’ Park, on the other hand, will thrill Eddie Howe. The owners of the Magpies definitely did.
His squad recovered fast from the ground, although the result was boosted by some individual performances from their England right-back, they clearly demonstrated their tenacity.
"We've been here a week, seen a very good performance and a not-so-good performance. We have to remain confident, see the things we can do better and we have to address them."

Two more pivotal games are on the horizon for their season routes.
Everton will meet Leeds, with whom manager Lampard has a tense history, while Newcastle will play Aston Villa, with Steven Gerrard, another ex-England great in the sidelines.
“We’ve been here a week, seen a very good performance and a not-so-good performance. We have to remain confident, see the things we can do better and we have to address them,” Frank Lampard said.
