For the Nigerian centre-back, the friendships and connections she built with her teammates—whom she now considers family—were equally cherished.

Demehin also recognised the huge support of Reims’ passionate fans, acknowledging how they stood by the team through both challenging and successful times.

The former NWFL defender mentioned that her time in Reims had given her a true understanding of the spirit of “Remoises”—the deep pride and sense of belonging shared by the club and the city.

Having joined Stade de Reims from Nigerian club Rivers Angels in 2022, Demehin quickly established herself as a valuable defensive player in the team.

But due to her competitive spirit, commitment, and aggressive defending on the pitch, she also bagged over seven yellow cards.

Demehin’s performance earned her a call-up to the Nigerian national team, where she played an important role in the Super Falcons squad during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games.
