Bruno Onyemaechi Makes Huge Request After First Goal of Season: ‘Tag Todd Boehly, I Wan See Something"

Nigerian defender Onyemaechi Bruno may have scored his first goal of the season in Boavista’s dramatic 2-2 draw against Estrela on Monday, but that wasn’t the highlight of his day. Bruno Onyemaechi Makes Huge Request After First Goal of Season: ‘Tag Todd Boehly, I Wan See Something"

After a long-awaited return to the scoresheet, the 25-year-old has a surprising—and hilarious—request: tag Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly, Footballrover reports.

Bruno took to social media, posting a message that reads:

Scored my first goal of the season today; make una help me tag Todd Boehly; abeg, I wan see something.”

And just like that, a normal match recap turned into a viral sensation as fans rushed to fulfil his cheeky demand.

But let’s rewind to the game.

Onyemaechi opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a clinical finish, ending his goal drought that stretched back to January.

His joy, however, was short-lived as former Man United star Nani levelled the score just 11 minutes later.

Boavista fought back before halftime, grabbing a 2-1 lead through Ilija Vukotic.

And in typical dramatic fashion, Estrela equalised in the 67th minute, and just a minute later, Boavista were reduced to 10 men after Pedro Tavares Almeida was shown a red card.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Boavista clung on for a point, extending their winless streak to four games.

But for Bruno, the night wasn’t just about the draw—it was all about finally registering a goal under his name and adding a bit of humour to the occasion.

Clearly enjoying the moment, Bruno called out to Todd Boehly, since Chelsea are now widely known for their relentless pursuit of young talents under the American co-owner’s leadership.

While Boehly might be focussing on his own team’s performance, the Nigerian defender’s playful message has certainly grabbed the attention of fans.

However, whether the Chelsea man replies or not, Onyemaechi Bruno just wants to check something, and after checking, he will join his teammates to prepare for their next big test against Benfica.

Do you think Todd Boehly—or Chelsea’s scouts—will respond to the Nigerian’s hilarious request?
