Victor Osimhen’s parent club, Napoli, has officially loaned out another Nigerian forward to a Serie B Femminile side.
After sending the Super Eagles to Galatasaray earlier, the Serie A giants have now made a similar decision for Adugbe Olamide, sending the young Nigerian talent to Freedom FC Women, footballrover reports.
Olamide’s transfer to Serie B Femminile club Freedom FC
Adugbe Olamide, who joined Napoli in September 2024 from Rivers Angels, has made a brief but impactful appearance in Serie A.
The 21-year-old Nigerian forward, known for her pace and skill, could only feature in six matches for the club.
However, Napoli has decided to send her on loan to Serie B side Freedom FC Women, where she is expected to help lift the team’s attack.
Freedom FC is currently sitting eighth in the Serie B standings, with 19 points from 13 games.
What the move means for Olamide’s future
By loaning out Olamide to Freedom FC Women, Napoli aims to offer the young forward more playing time in a competitive environment.
The move also reflects Napoli’s current struggles in Serie A, where they are languishing in ninth place with just six points from 13 matches.
For Olamide, this loan spell is a chance to continue her development and possibly return stronger in the future.
At Freedom FC, she will wear the number 88 jersey, as she aims to contribute significantly to the club’s goal-scoring efforts.
Footballrover will also keep a tab to see how the Nigerian forward performs at her new club and whether this move can propel both her and Freedom FC Women to greater heights in Serie B.
