The Reds’ lead was subsequently increased when Mohamed Salah’s deflected drive struck the back of the net.

With the win, Jurgen Klopp’s side is in command going into the second leg at Anfield, putting the Nerazzurri with a huge mission to make up the difference.
Inter return to Serie A action on Sunday when they host Sassuolo at home.
While Liverpool’s next Premier League match is on Saturday at Anfield against Norwich City.
