The Falconets of Nigeria continued their impressive start to the WAFU B U20 Girls Cup with another confident display, cruising to a 3–0 win over the Young Amazons of Benin on Saturday.

Kareem Leads the Charge for the Falconets

Ramotalahi Kareem was the star of the show, scoring a brilliant brace that inspired the Falconets to a commanding performance.

The forward opened the scoring early with a composed finish that broke Benin’s early resistance before doubling Nigeria’s advantage shortly before the hour mark with another clinical strike.

Precious Oscar then added a late third in stoppage time, rounding off a complete team effort as coach Moses Aduku’s side claimed maximum points for the second game running.

Falconets Eye Ghana Clash as Fatigue Concerns Grow

With two wins from two, the Falconets have established themselves as early favourites in this year’s WAFU B U20 Girls Cup, but their focus now turns to a high-stakes showdown with the Black Princesses of Ghana on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

However, concerns have been raised over the tournament’s tight scheduling, which has forced teams to play two matches in just two days.

The demanding setup leaves players with little recovery time and poses risks to their fitness and performance levels.
