Bendel Insurance star Ezekiel Tamara has expressed his delight following their recent match against Doma United, which ended in a goalless draw.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder took to his social media page to celebrate the team’s hard-earned point against the Savanna Tigers, Footballrover reports
The rescheduled Match Day Six game, played at the Pantami Stadium on Wednesday afternoon, saw both teams battle it out in an end-to-end affair.
Despite numerous attacking opportunities, neither side could find the back of the net, resulting in a stalemate.
Tamara, who played a crucial role in Bendel Insurance’s defensive efforts, praised his team’s performance against a formidable opponent.
He acknowledged the strength of the Gombe Tigers and expressed his satisfaction with securing a valuable point away from home.
“Good result on the road against a very good side. Our first point on the road. We have to continue building momentum,” Tamara wrote on his social media page.
Bendel Insurance currently occupies seventh place in the league standings with 11 points, having recorded two wins, two draws, and two losses in their six league matches.
Doma United, on the other hand, remains in 12th position with just 8 points.
As the 2023/24 campaign progresses, Bendel Insurance will be looking to build on their positive result against Doma United and continue their climb up the league table.
