Enyimba Football Club of Aba has received a significant boost in their quest for success after experienced defender Chidera Ezeh announced his departure from Katsina United ahead of his imminent arrival at the People’s Elephant.
The 25-year-old right-back, known for his solid defensive strength, took to social media to bid farewell to his teammates, officials, and supporters at Katsina United, Footballrover reports.
Ezeh joined the Chanji Boys at the beginning of the 2023–24 season after a successful stint with Enugu Rangers.
Ezeh is a seasoned campaigner in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), having commenced his journey with the Flying Antelopes in the 2016–17 season.
He then moved on to stints at Heartland FC and Gombe United before returning to the Coal City side.
This move to Enyimba marks a significant step for Ezeh.
He will now have the opportunity to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup, a tournament in which he has extensive experience, having participated on six previous occasions.
Ezeh brings a wealth of experience to Enyimba, having featured in over 116 NPFL matches and registering five goals.
In his heartfelt farewell message, Ezeh expressed his gratitude for the support and camaraderie he received during his time at Katsina United.
He also emphasised his excitement for the new challenges that await him at Enyimba.
