Europa League kings Sevilla FC have announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
This strategic alliance aims to elevate Nigerian football to new heights, Footballrover reports.
In a move to expand its global footprint, Sevilla has welcomed the NPFL into its exclusive ‘World Club Alliance Program’.
This collaboration promises to be a game-changer, with the Spanish giants offering invaluable expertise in coaching development, youth talent identification, and overall football infrastructure.
The partnership was formalised during a high-level meeting between Sevilla FC president José María del Nido Carrasco and NPFL counterpart Gbenga Elegbeleye.
The Nigerian football chief expressed immense excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the potential for Nigerian players to benefit immensely from Sevilla’s world-class training facilities and coaching methods.
The signing of Super Eagles star Chidera Ejuke by Sevilla has already ignited a wave of excitement among Nigerian fans, and this new partnership is expected to further strengthen the bond between the two nations.
“It is a new decisive step in our internationalisation process and will help our brand to continue to grow in Africa, in a country like Nigeria from which we are receiving a lot of support after the signing of Chidera Ejuke,” José María said.
With both parties committed to nurturing young talent, the alliance is poised to produce a new generation of Nigerian football stars ready to conquer the world.
