Nigerian forward Emeka Eze delivered a strong performance on Thursday evening, scoring a late equaliser to earn Sarıyer SK a crucial home draw against Amed Sportif Faaliyetler in the TFF First League.

Eze found the back of the net to rescue his side from a narrow defeat as Sarıyer and Amed Sportif settled for a 1–1 draw at the Yusuf Ziya Öniş Stadyumu in Istanbul, Footballrover reports.

Despite being the most fouled player in the match — drawing four fouls — the 29-year-old still made his impact count, netting his second goal of the season for Sarıyer since arriving during the winter transfer window.

He had last scored on January 18 in a 2–1 victory over Boluspor and had since gone four matches without a goal contribution.

The strike against Amed took his overall goal contribution tally to 12 — ten goals and two assists.

Before joining Sarıyer, Eze registered five goals and two assists in the 1. Lig, along with three goals in the Turkish Cup while at Çorum FK.

The Round 26 encounter saw the visitors take the lead in the 16th minute through an own goal by Mbaye Diagne, and that advantage separated the two sides at the break.

Eze proves decisive again for Sarıyer

Sixteen minutes into the second half, the visitors were reduced to 10 men after Hasan Ali Kaldırım received a second yellow card.

However, the hosts failed to capitalise on their numerical advantage until the 85th minute, when Eze calmly converted from the penalty spot to ensure both sides shared the spoils.

In the course of his celebration, Eze was shown a yellow card, which will rule him out of the next match.
