Paul Mukairu and Emeka Eze were the headline acts in the Turkish 1.Lig over the weekend, each delivering impressive performances to power their teams to dominant victories.
The Nigerian duo turned up the heat in Round 37, displaying flair, precision, and clinical finishing that left huge impression, Footballrover reports.
Paul Mukairu double sparks 10-goal madness
At the Kocaeli Stadyumu, Paul Mukairu and his Boluspor teammates delivered a footballing masterclass, demolishing bottom-placed Yeni Malatyaspor 10-1.
Mukairu was at the heart of the destruction, scoring Boluspor’s third and fifth goals with poise and purpose.
The floodgates opened early through Oguz Güctekin in the 11th minute, followed by goals from Jefferson and Mukairu to put Boluspor 3-0 ahead within 30 minutes.
Yeni Malatyaspor briefly threatened a comeback with a goal just before halftime, but it was short-lived.
A red card to Muhammed Gök in the 52nd minute spelt doom for the visitors.
What followed was a total annihilation. Babacar netted twice, Hasani buried a penalty, and Paul Mukairu completed his brace to take his tally to six goals in 33 appearances this season.
Isgandarli, Nas, and Erdogan joined the party late on to complete an excellent 10-goal display.
Boluspor’s ruthless form continues as they extend their unbeaten run to five matches, securing four wins and a draw.
Despite their dominant performance, the club remains in 8th place with 58 points and one fixture left against Adanaspor.
Emeka Eze continues scoring spree with clinical strike for Pendikspor
Meanwhile, over at the Pendik Stadium, Emeka Eze proved once again why he’s a force to be reckoned with.
The Nigerian forward was clinical in front of goal, opening the scoring in the 19th minute of Pendikspor’s 2-0 victory over Karagümrük.
Eze’s 12th goal in 31 appearances this season couldn’t have come at a better time, as Pendikspor were desperate to break free from a three-match losing streak.
Nuno Sequeira added the second shortly after, sealing all three points and breathing life back into their campaign.
Currently sitting 14th with 48 points, Pendikspor will wrap up their season against Bandirmaspor, hoping to finish on a high.
Emeka Eze’s influence has been so crucial in helping the team avoid relegation, and his return to form could be the spark they need to maintain their status.
