Nigerian forward Edna Imade has finally marked her return to Spain in style, scoring for Real Sociedad in their Primera División Femenina clash against Levante Badalona on Saturday afternoon.
Imade opened her account for the season with a close-range finish, helping Real Sociedad secure an away league victory over Badalona, Footballrover reports.
Edna Imade Breaks Scoring Drought to Spark Sociedad Victory
It took Imade three matches to finally get her season going. The Nigerian forward opened the scoring as Real Sociedad claimed a well-deserved 2-0 victory over their hosts at the Complex Esportiu Futbol.
Despite having the fewest touches of any outfield player to complete the full 90 minutes—just 23—the 24-year-old Super Falcons prospect broke the deadlock in the 49th minute.
Lucía Pardo then sealed the win in the 93rd minute, ensuring Sociedad extended their unbeaten run to five games, with one draw followed by four straight victories.
Sociedad will look to keep their momentum going when they face UD Tenerife next Saturday.
Bayern Loanee Imade Finding Form in Liga F
Recall that the Nigerian striker made her Real Sociedad debut in a 3-0 win over Sevilla in the Primera División Femenina.
She had enjoyed a breakout 2024/25 season with Granada, scoring an impressive 17 goals with two assists — second only to Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor, who netted 25 in Spain.
Her performances caught the attention of FC Bayern Munich, who signed her in July 2025.
However, to aid her development, Bayern loaned her to Real Sociedad for the start of the season — and she’s finally beginning to find her scoring touch.
There have been growing calls for the young forward to be integrated into the Super Falcons squad, and fans are still eagerly awaiting that opportunity.
