This weekend’s showdown features Chelsea vs Brentford, and the World Champions will be seeking to build on their recent success when they play their Premier League opponents at Stamford Bridge.

After a two-week international break, Premier League play will resume this weekend, and Thomas Tuchel’s team will be eager to maintain their incredible winning streak.

Chelsea have put up a more focused performance after the UK government sanctioned its owner, Roman Abramovich, and are yet to lose a game since.

Brentford: Due to a cruciate ligament injury incurred in late March 2022, Jeanvier will be out for the encounter, while Ghoddos will be unavailable due to Covid-19 sickness.

The Blues have been in excellent form, winning their past five games in all competitions, including a 4-0 win over Burnley and a 3-1 win over Norwich City, both away from home, before edging out Newcastle 1-0 at Stamford Bridge thanks to a late Kai Havertz goal.

Brentford has only won two of its past five games (3-1 against Norwich and 2-0 at home against Leeds United) and is presently ranked 15th in the Premier League with 30 points after 30 games.
