Marc Cucurella, who is said to be interested in playing for another manager, is reportedly a target for Chelsea this summer as they try to recruit him from Brighton.

The Blues are currently considering making a move now that negotiations for a transfer to Manchester City have reportedly stopped due to a demand for a £50 million fee.

He reportedly submitted a transfer request this summer, prompting rumors that the Premier League Champions were eager to sign the 26-year-old.

Levi Colwill might be included in a transfer for Marc Cucurella, who is valued at £50 million, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues have made defenders a top priority this transfer window as they look to reinforce their back four in the wake of the departures of players like Rudiger, Christiansen, and Azpilicueta, who is also said to be leaving the club.

Fabrizio has nevertheless revealed that Chelsea are actively pursuing the signing of the Spaniard, even if they might need to allow one of their most promising stars leave in order to do so.

Could it be that the Spaniard, who often plays left-back will be replacing Ben Chilwell, given that has almost fully recovered from his season-ending injury from the previous season? Well, the signing of Marc Cucurella might likely look so odd.

Even if there are still rumors that Marcos Alonso would leave this summer, it seems unlikely that Cucurella will be signed as a backup.
