Alex Zinchenko was named man of the match after his outstanding performance at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, which helped Premier League leaders – Arsenal defeat Man United 3-2 to keep their lead atop the League rankings.

Eddie Nketiah, a new attacking phenomenon for Arsenal, and Martin Odegaard worked tirelessly and beautifully in the second half of extra time to secure the important victory after the game had been tied at 2-2 for the entire 90 minutes.

Marcus Rashford, who leads Manchester United in goals gave the Reds an early lead in the 17th minute of the first half of the game with a thunderous shot outside Arsenal 18-yard box.

After receiving a pass from Grant Xhaka, an Arsenal teammate – Eddie Nketiah brought the score back to level.

Nketiah had eluded four defenders inside Manchester United 18 box to head in Arsenal’s equalizer.

In the 53rd minute of the second half, Arsenal took a 2-1 lead through Bukayo Saka’s outstanding left-footed goal.

Argentine World Cup winner – Lisandro Martinez of Manchester United headed in an Aaron Ramsdale miscalculated catch in the 59th minute of the second half to tie the game at 2-2.

There was one more surprise, though, when Nketiah scored the game-winning goal for Mikel Arteta’s team’s by deflecting Martin Odegaard’s shot past David de Gea.

Both sides played out a thriller from start to finish but it was the Gunners who secured an important result in their bid to win the Premier League title.

Moments after the match, the Ukrainian defender – Alex Zinchenko earned the honor of being named man of the match.
