Hudson-Odoi scored a stunning goal to give Forest the lead, but Chelsea staged a late comeback to snatch the win at the City Ground, Footballrover reports.

The Englishman’s joy was short-lived after handing his side the advantage, as his efforts ultimately weren’t enough to prevent the Blues from securing a narrow 3-2 away win.

Mykhaylo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, and Nicolas Jackson all found the back of the net, stealing the spotlight from the former Blues forward.

The 23-year-old winger took to social media after the game, expressing mixed feelings about the milestone match.

“Mixed feelings in my 100th Premier League game; we keep on pushing till the end. I love and appreciate the support from both sides,” he wrote.

Hudson-Odoi’s career has experienced a resurgence under Nuno Espirito Santo, starting 11 of Forest’s last 14 matches and scoring crucial goals to help steer the team away from the relegation zone.

His two goals against Sheffield United in a 3-1 win were a highlight of his season, which has seen him register eight goals and two assists so far.

The former Chelsea academy star was once touted as a future star, earning a £150,000-a-week contract in 2019.

However, an Achilles injury and loss of form led to him falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge.

He was eventually sold to Forest for £5 million last summer.

Despite the defeat, Hudson-Odoi’s goal against Chelsea was a touching moment in his 100th Premier League appearance.
