Blessing Nkor is gradually stepping into the spotlight with confidence, passion, and a clear vision for the future.

The Deportivo La Coruna striker recently opened up about her deep admiration for Super Falcons icons Asisat Oshoala and Rasheedat Ajibade, naming them as her role models, Footballrover reports.

In a heartfelt post on social media, Blessing Nkor expressed deep admiration for the two stars, highlighting their impact from youth level to the senior national team.

“Asisat Oshoala and Rasheedat Ajibade are exceptional players and role models to me. Beyond their contributions to the country from youth to senior level, I consider them very special. I often try to incorporate aspects of their game into mine, as it’s always a good idea to learn from the best,” she wrote.

Nkor, still in the early stages of her international journey, added,

“I am honoured to have these great stars as role models. I hope to achieve like them in future.”

With her debut appearance at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) around the corner, Nkor is dreaming big—and she believes the Super Falcons are poised to reclaim lost glory in Morocco come 2026.

In an interview with Flashscore, the striker didn’t hide her optimism.

“I’m excited for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, as it will be my first appearance. As a team, our mission is clear and that is to reclaim the title we lost two years ago, a loss that still hurts,” she said.

Role models inspire Blessing Nkor’s title ambitions

Nigeria’s fourth-place finish at the last WAFCON still stings, marking the country’s worst outing in the history of the tournament.

But for Nkor, that setback has only fuelled the desire for redemption.

“Occasionally, I chat with some of my international teammates, and our focus is always aligned,” she said. “With all due respect to the other teams, I firmly believe we will dominate Africa again, having learned from our last outing and with the support of a strong coaching staff.”

With pacesetters like Oshoala and Ajibade guiding her path, Nkor is more than ready to carve her name into African football history.
