Footballrover understands that Bayelsa United has been charged with multiple breaches of the NPFL24 Framework and Rules during their Matchday 37 encounter against Shooting Stars on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Security Lapses and Assault Incidents
The Prosperity Boys failed to provide adequate security and effective crowd control, leading to the assault of 3SC goalkeeper Okiemute Odah.
The club also did not restrict access to unauthorised individuals in restricted areas, which contributed to the incident.
The encroachment onto the pitch at Bayelsa United’s Samson Siasia Stadium home ground was another critical lapse that culminated in the assault on Odah.
The NPFL in it's dramatic nature didn't fail to deliver in match day 37 as Bayelsa United in a bit to escape the clawing hands of relegation, two individuals were spotted walking across the pitch engaging in what looked like juju chants while 1-0 down.
