Shooting Stars football club have failed to live up to expectations in this year’s Valuejet Cup tournament after suffering back-to-back defeats in the competition.
The defending champions are currently at the bottom of the standings after matchday two at the Remo Stars stadium, Footballrover reports.
The Oluyole Warriors succumbed to a narrow 2-1 defeat against Remo Stars team B in a match that saw both sides awarded a penalty with drama unfolding in the second period of the game.

In the thrilling encounter at the Remo Stars Stadium, the B team of the Sky Blue Stars come from behind to edge past the defending champions in Valuejet Cup matchday two.
The match was an intense affair from the kickoff, with both teams eager to secure their first victory.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 59th minute when Christian Pyagbara converted a penalty for Shooting Stars to give them the lead.
However, the joy was short-lived as Remo Stars earned a penalty of their own just two minutes later, which Nduka Junior calmly slotted home to level the scores.
The game reached its climax in the 75th minute when Remo Stars completed a stunning comeback.
Nduka Junior turned provider, setting up Ibrahim Shuaib to score the winning goal.
Despite a spirited effort from Shooting Stars to find an equaliser, Remo Stars held on to secure a famous victory.
