The South African Football Association (SAFA) has just unveiled its 24-player squad for the upcoming WAFCON qualifiers, where Banyana Banyana, the country’s senior women’s football team, will be squaring off against Burkina Faso.
The matches are scheduled for November 30, 2023 (away), and Monday, December 4, 2023, at Lucas Moripe Stadium, Footballrover reports
Comprising three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders, and eight forwards, this roster includes four standout athletes from Mamelodi Sundowns FC, a leading women’s team in South Africa.
Among them are midfielder Kholosa Biyana, defenders Karabo Dhlamini and Lebohang Ramalepe, and goalkeeper Andile Dlamini.
Additionally, the squad boasts the presence of Thembi Kgatlana, a star player of the South African Senior Women’s Football Team and a standout at Racing Louisville FC.
