With Bendel Insurance preparing to battle Kano Pillars in an important Matchday 10 clash in the NPFL, the midfielder is hoping to secure a win, having shared the pitch with some of the players on the Pillars team.

However, the 23-year-old defensive midfielder emphasized the professional mindset required as his team gears up to take on Kano Pillars in this crucial NPFL match.

The Benin Gunners are winless in their last four Nigeria Premier League outings, having played out three draws and one defeat, Footballrover reports

The Benin-based club played a back-to-back goalless draw against Doma United and the Niger Tornadoes; they went on to play a 2-2 draw with Kwara United before their narrow 2-1 defeat to Enyimba in Aba.

Coming into this game at the General Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday, Tamara Ezekiel and his teammates are desperately in need of a win and will be hoping to snatch all three points after the final whistle.

Speaking on his social media page ahead of the game, Tamara Ezekiel said,

It’s great to be back in Kano, reconnecting with old friends. I’ve shared the pitch with many of them, winning games and creating memorable moments. I’ve cherished every moment of my time here. But as a professional, all that counts for nothing when we enter the pitch.”

The last time the Vipers tasted victory was on matchday five, where they managed to edge past Remo Star by a lone goal at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

Currently sitting in sixth position on the NPFL table, the Monday Odigie side will need to be in high spirits when they battle the Sai Masu Gida in what promises to be a rough ride for them.
