Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala continued her fine goalscoring form, but her early strike wasn’t enough to save Al Hilal from a 3–1 defeat to Al Nassr in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

Back from international duty, where she helped Nigeria qualify for the 2026 WAFCON with a 3–1 aggregate win over Benin Republic, Oshoala picked up right where she left off—finding the net once again, Footballrover reports.

Asisat Oshoala Scores Early, but Al Hilal Lose Their Rhythm

It took just nine minutes for Asisat Oshoala to make her mark. The 31-year-old forward combined brilliantly with Portuguese teammate Jessica Silva, calmly slotting home the opener to give Al Hilal a dream start in Riyadh.

However, Al Nassr fought back and equalised just before halftime through Ruth Kipoyi.

Fifteen minutes after the restart, Clara Luvanga put the hosts ahead, and deep into stoppage time, she struck again to seal the win—handing Al Hilal their first defeat of the season.

Al Hilal Drop to Second as Oshoala’s Hot Streak Continues

Despite the loss, Oshoala’s performance was one of the few bright spots for Al Hilal. Her goal took her tally to five goals and two assists in just five league appearances.

The Super Falcons star has extended her scoring streak to five consecutive matches—with goals against Al Qadsiah, Al Ahli, Neom SC, Al Ittihad, and Al Nassr.

The defeat, however, means Al Hilal have slipped to second place with 12 points, three behind leaders Al Nassr, who now take control of the title race.

Still, Oshoala’s consistent brilliance continues to keep her side in contention.
