In the Belgium Challenge League, Abubakar Abdullahi made his presence felt, delivering a huge impact by finding the back of the net to help his team Jong KAA Gent secure a commanding victory in a thrilling five-goal clash against Olympic Charleroi.

The 19-year-old forward struck the second goal of the encounter as Jong Gent pulled off a resounding 1-4 away win at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi on Friday evening, Footballrover reports.

The scoring spree began in the 14th minute when El Hadji Seck put the visitors ahead.
The Matchday One clash came alive in the 43rd minute when the Nigerian forward doubled the lead for KAA Gent.

Just 11 minutes into the second half, Gyano Vanderdonck replaced Abdullahi, who was forced off due to injury.
Only 12 minutes later, Seck found the net again to make it 3-0 for the visitors. Charleroi reduced the deficit when Robert Ion converted a penalty, but the goal was nothing more than a consolation.
Simon Buggea sealed the victory for KAA Gent with the fourth goal, wrapping up a comprehensive 4-1 triumph.
A Bright Future for the Nigerian Wonderkid
This was the first game and first goal of the season for the former Nigerian U-17 star, now in his third year with the Jong KAA Gent U23 side.

Since joining in the 2023/24 campaign, Abubakar Abdullahi has impressed in limited appearances.
He scored two goals in just two matches in his debut season. His second season saw him deliver an astonishing nine goals in nine appearances.
Now, he has kicked off the new season in style, netting on Matchday One.
The future looks bright for this Nigerian wonderkid, who continues to shine in Belgium.
