Hafiz Ibrahim delivered a standout performance on Saturday evening, finding the net once again, yet it wasn’t enough to save Stade de Reims from a narrow home defeat at the hands of Rodez in French Ligue 2.

Despite Ibrahim scoring the opening goal of the encounter, he could only watch from the sidelines as his team conceded two late goals to succumb to a 2-1 defeat at the Stade Auguste-Delaune, Footballrover reports.

The Round 27 clash saw the 20-year-old Nigerian forward notch his sixth goal of the season.

This strike brings his total goal contributions to seven (six goals and one assist) across 21 appearances this campaign.

After a cagey start to the match, Ibrahim broke the deadlock with a powerful header, putting the hosts in front just before the halftime whistle.

However, the momentum shifted drastically in the second half. Ibrahim was substituted for Mohamed Daramy with just eight minutes of regulation time remaining—a move that preceded a late collapse.

Only five minutes after his exit, Mehdi Baaloudj levelled the score for the visitors.

The situation went from bad to worse for the home side when Abdoul Kone was shown a red card five minutes into stoppage time.

Capitalising on the man advantage just two minutes later, Tairyk Arconte delivered the decisive blow, sinking the hosts and securing all three points for Rodez.

Udoh delivers late heroics to secure Salford victory

Daniel Udoh enjoyed a stellar outing in League Two, emerging as the hero for Salford City by netting the winning goal in a hard-earned victory over Harrogate Town.

Coming off the bench, Udoh delivered the decisive blow to secure a narrow 1-0 win at the Exercise Stadium.

The Round 37 clash marked the 29-year-old Nigerian’s 8th goal of the season. His clinical finish brings his total goal contributions to 15 across 30 matches, a tally that includes six assists in League Two and one in the FA Cup.

Dan Udoh scored late on his return to seal a 1–0 victory for Salford at Harrogate, extending Salford’s winning run to three games without conceding.

Replacing Rosaire Longelo in the 66th minute, it took the Nigerian only 19 minutes to find the net as he calmly finished from close range following a setup by fellow substitute Fabio Borini.

Salford had earlier created several chances but were denied by Harrogate’s on-loan Ipswich goalkeeper Henry Gray, who saved efforts from Jorge Grant and Luke Garbutt, while Cole Stockton missed two good opportunities.

Despite dominating much of the match, the breakthrough only came late.

Harrogate, struggling at the bottom of the table, offered little attacking threat and managed just one weak shot on target, comfortably handled by Salford goalkeeper Matt Young.
