Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen is brimming with excitement after Galatasaray clinched the Turkish Super Lig title over the weekend.
The Nigerian star was on target in their decisive 3-0 victory over Kayserispor on Sunday, marking their third consecutive league win, Footballrover reports.
Osimhen’s present joy: Ignoring his future at Galatasaray
Victor Osimhen was crucial in the victory, opening the scoring in the 26th minute. This marked his second consecutive game with a goal, his 36th across all competitions this season.
Adding a heartwarming touch, his daughter’s announcement of his goal inside Rams Park drew cheers.
Focusing on fun, not future at Galatasaray yet
The match saw Galatasaray take an early lead thanks to Osimhen’s header from a corner.
Baris Alper Yilmaz quickly doubled the advantage, and Fernando Muslera sealed the win with a late penalty.
Osimhen’s impactful performance included completing the most dribbles (3) and winning the most duels (8).
Speaking after the match, the Nigerian international expressed his joy, saying.
“I feel very happy. It is incredible to take part in Galatasaray’s history and reach the fifth star. We have two matches left.”
The Super Eagles hitman added that,
”We will look to have fun. I am enjoying the moment at the moment. I am not thinking about my future.”
This statement suggests that while celebrating the Turkish Super Lig win, thoughts about the future are currently on hold for the Napoli loanee.
