Cameroon has advanced to the Africa Cup of Nations, Afcon 2021 semi-finals after a 2-0 quarter-final victory over Gambia in Douala on Saturday.
Karl Toko Ekambi scored a brace in the Afcon 2021 showpiece to put an end to the Scorpions’ dream and secure a spot for the hosts in the next round.
For the first ten minutes, the Gambia defence held off the Cameroonian onslaught, forcing the hosts to withdraw deep into their own territory and resume attacks.
Clinton N’Jie was later introduced in the 75th minute to replace Toko Ekambi, making it impossible for him to score his sixth goal and tie Aboubakar for the most goals for Cameroon.

In the final eight match, the former African champions were simply too strong for the debutants as they cruise to semi finals.
